Construction of a fuel pipeline from Beira in Mozambique to three other southern African countries through Zimbabwe and Botswana. The intended route is from Beira to Harare and Bulawayo and then south west to Botswana, then north through Zambia to the DR Congo. The first phase would be the construction of the Beira-Harare link at an approximate cost of US$1 billion.
