1st phase - raising of Flag Boshielo Dam wall by 5m, together with associated water distribution networks in Olifants River catchment. 2nd phase - construction of one or two large dams on the Olifants river. Sites under consideration are Rooipoort, and De Hoop, on the Steelpoort river, a tributary of the Olifants. Estimated project cost: R3-billion.
