About this development

Extension of Paulputs Substation, this will entail the installation of a second 220/132kV, 250MVA transformer. The substation upgrade will take place of the farm Schuitklip 92 portion 4 in the Pofadder area, in the Northern Cape. The proposed upgrade is implemented to create a firm transformer capacity at Paulputs Substation, which is part of the Namaqualand Customer Load Network (CLN). Presently the substation has only one 220/132kV transformer and as part of this project, a second transformer will be installed.
