About this development
The eThekwini Municipality proposes to develop a wind farm, as part of the eThekwini Wind Repowering Project, on one or two identified sites, namely the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Westville Campus) and Langafontein Farm, approximately 2.2 km south east of the Inanda dam wall. The turbines that were donated from the Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association (BORDA) have a maximum output of 150 kW.
