About this development
The mine will be located 30km south-west of Rio Tinto's Rossing uranium mine and to the west of Paladin Energy's Langer Heinrich mine, in Etango, one of the world's most undeveloped uranium deposits. About 70% of the Etango deposits are located less than 200m below the surface and its alaskite ore is similar to that found at Rossing and amenable to simple heap leaching. Pre-production capital is estimated at $870 million. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is lat: -22.754591012638297, long: 14.95929015249565.
