Lagos State Government plans to create various new towns across the state to try and address the urgent need for new housing and accommodation and to de-congest the metropolis and open up the semi-rural areas. Erulu Estate is one of 7 new town developments. The scheme is located along the Lagos-Epe Expressway and two minutes drive from Abraham Adesany Housing Estate, Ajah, Lagos state in Nigeria. The scheme covers a total land areas of 220.504 hectares comprising areas earmarked for site and service plats and private developer's initiative. It is designed to accommodate 28 520 residents.
