Eikestad Mall, Mill Square (Phase 3 and 4)

The redevelopment of the Eikestad Mall, the first phase of the Eikestad Urban Renewal Project, a three-phase initiative currently underway in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape Phase three will consist of Mill Square, which will include a “boutique food court” on the ground level, with A-grade office space above. Occupying a premier corner position, the four-storey Mill Square will be linked to the shopping complex but will have a separate identity, being aimed predominantly at the tourist and higher-income target markets. The restaurants will be positioned around an outdoor, open square. An old water mill that runs through the site will be retained. Phase 4 will entail the construction of a Virgin Active Gym above Eikestad Mall. The estimated construction cost of the entire project will be R550-million.
