Refurbishment of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation Development House building, Cluster J, located on the corner of York and Elliot Roads, Mthatha, Eastern Cape. CIDB 8GB. The scope of works includes: Removal of timber roofs and replace with structural steel roof; installation of a reinforced concrete ring beam around the building to anchor the steel trusses; replacement of the suspended timber floor with new timber floor; waterproofing of the roof slab; upgrading of main entrances; installation of new security entrance system; refurbishments of internal finishes; painting of external finishes; paving to parking areas; stormwater management; upgrade of electrical supply capacity; low voltage works (site power reticulation of cables); refurbishments of electrical installations and area lighting; upgrade of HVAC; upgrading of fire protection installations and elevator installation.
