About this development
Construction of the new 36ha PnP Distribution Centre situated within the East Port Logistics Park which is at the intersection of the R21 & R25, Olifantsfontein, Midrand, Gauteng. Eco-friendly initiatives that are being include: 1 million litre rainwater storage tank, excess water from refrigeration and Crate Wash will be harvested to wash PnP fleet trucks, 3MWp solar system, 100% LED lighting throughout the site, DALI intelligent lighting system with sensors, PFC, smart electrical meters, timers for all exterior lighting, on/off motion sensors, water-less urinals, aerated faucets, low water use sanitary fixtures, low VOC paints and glues, cement brick in lieu of clay brick, naturally vented & daylit offices, VRV HVAC system, heat recovery system used to head water at Crate Wash.
