About this development
Construction of the Dwarskersbos 2 Solar PV Energy Facility and associated infrastructure, located on the Remaining Extent of Weglopersheuwel Farm 116, Weglooperheuwel 245, Remaining Extent of Farm 107, Portion 11 and 15 of Farm 113 and Dan Vlakte Farm 114, situated approximately 6km east of Velddrif, Bergrivier Local Municipality, Western Cape. The facility will have a contracted capacity of up to 480MW. The associated grid connection infrastructure (EGI) will include a 132kV onsite switching station and overhead power line to connect the PV facility to the national electricity grid at the adjacent Dwarskersbos Substation 2 via Velddrif Substation to Eskom’s Aurora Substation. The central site GPS co-ordinates are 32°45'2.19"S 18°15'56.13"E.
