About this development
Construction of the proposed Durban Dug Out Port at the Old Durban International Airport Site in KwaZulu-Natal, to be built on a site 11km away from the existing Durban port. The Durban dig-out port could become Africa's largest deep-water container terminal, capable of handling 9.6-million twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs) through 16 berths by 2037.
