About this development

The eThekwini Municipality, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, plans to spend more than R2 billion to enhance its 96km coastline from Umkomaas in the South to Tongaat in the North. For Addington, Dairy and Thekwini beaches, a 20m promenade, more restaurants, bright lighting, safe parking and lots of open space to cycle is being planned. The Ocean Sports Complex will be among the first to be demolished. Another building that is likely to go is Addington Hospital.
