Refurbishment works for the Rainprop Office located at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), 77 Meintjies Street, Trevenna, Pretoria, Gauteng. The dtic Campus in Trevena, Pretoria consists of 7 buildings namely: Block A, B, C, D, E, F and the SSC building (across Robert Sobukwe Street) which require aesthetic and functional refurbishment work to the internal and external functional areas. Each building consists of Ground Floor and 3 above ground floors with designated ablution facilities, pause areas, open plan offices, enclosed offices and private meeting rooms at each floor level. The extent of refurbishment work to the internal building fabric comprises: Servicing and selected replacement where damaged of: Carpet and Tile floor coverings, Tile and Painted walls finishes, Gypsum and lay in ceilings including vinyl and acoustic tiles, Doors including associated ironmongery, Carpentry & Joinery, etc., Aluminium windows and shopfronts. The extent of refurbishment work to the external building fabric comprises: Servicing and selected replacement where damaged of: Aluminium windows and shopfronts, Roof Coverings including, replacement of damaged sheeting, Paving including thematic concrete strip, Steel staircase, balustrades and handrails, Construction of new universal access ramp, Repair work due to structural and waterproofing challenges identified. The extent of refurbishment work related to the upgrade of services comprises: Servicing and selected replacement where damaged of mechanical equipment: Ducting Terminals, Piping, Equipment, Electrical installation associated with mechanical equipment, Control System, Demolitions & Builders Works associated with mechanical equipment, Building Management System. Servicing and selected replacement where damaged of electrical equipment: Medium Voltage Distribution, UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) installation Standby diesel generator unit, Modifications to existing Distribution Boards, Low voltage cables, Wiring, conduits and accessories, Power skirting and trunking, Cable ladder, trays and supports, New distribution boards, Integration of electrical installation with BMS, Refurbishment of generator cooling tower.
