About this development
The Dorper Wind Farm is located between the towns of Molteno and Sterkstroom in the Eastern Cape (about 70km North-West of Queenstown and about 270km from East London). The Dorper Wind Farm will start delivering 100MW of electricity to the national grid next year. The project includes 40 turbines connected by a 23km road network. Each of the foundations consists of 350m3 of concrete and about 50 tonnes of reinforcing steel. We have two foundation designs with a diameter of 17.5m and 18.5m. Project Value: R 2,2-billion.
