About this development
Construction of a comprehensive cancer management centre at the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Nyeri, Kenya. The centre is intended to comprise of the following: a surgical department: This will entail establishment of two operating rooms backed by 60 hospital beds in 5 wards, 8 intensive care unit (ICU) beds in 2 wards and 2 outpatient treatment rooms as part of the outpatient services. For this department an endoscopy unit is also planned with bronchoscopy and gastroenterology treatment. An Oncoradiology department, it will comprise of both outpatient and inpatient service. The outpatient unit will start with 4 treatment rooms for general oncology treatment, 1 room for urology and 1 for gynecology treatment. Laboratory and pathology unit, it will provide an Immuno histochemistry, classical laboratory unit and pathology unit. The GPS coordinates are, -0.3902248, 36.9622521
