About this development
Demolition of the historic, unused Peninsula Maternity Hospital in District Six, Cape Town, in the Western Cape. The Department of Public Works plans to build a new District Six Community Health Centre at a cost of R60 million. The Peninsula Maternity Hospital is situated between Constitution, Primrose, Caledon and Mount Streets. The proposed development is designed to have the following facilities: Emergency Unit; Chronic Disease Unit; Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy Unit; Women and Children Unit; Oral Health Infectious Disease Unit and a Pharmacy.
