Construction of the Diepsloot sewage aqueduct located in Riverside View, Diepsloot, Gauteng. The contract value is R404 800 000. The Works entails the following: i. Construction of an underground 2100 ID GRP sewage pipe bypass line to link exit and entry chambers situated at the upstream and downstream of the high-level bridge ends together with appurtenant works like low level pipe bridge river crossing, scour chamber, sewage return pipeline, access roads and end connections at: Bridge 1: 741.499 metres sewage pipe bypass, Bridge 2: 982.749 metres sewage pipe bypass, Bridge 3: 934.712 metres sewage pipe bypass. The primary activities shall include: Pipeline route setting-out, route hoarding with fence and shade cloth, location, exposing and protection of existing services and structures, relocating clashing services, relocating a clashing existing boundary wall of Dainfern Valley Estate (northbank of Bridge 3) including attached security infrastructure and demolition of remaining offending wall. Route clearance and trench excavations, provision and maintenance of access to all sections of work, dealing river water at river crossing, construction of low-level pipeline bridge, comprising foundation excavation, foundation pilling, reinforced concrete piers, abutments and wingwalls, installation of elastomeric bearings, bridge deck, pipe supports, precast concrete cover slabs and drainage. Provision of materials, GRP pipes, fittings (GRP bends and specials), couplings, and scour chamber construction materials. Construct GRP pipeline compete with bends, fittings and specials, bedding, backfill, compaction, concrete thrust blocks and testing. Bed, lay, pipes sections, including a 160 mm diameter uPVC scour effluent return pipeline, backfilling, compaction and tests, hydraulic testing of both the GRP & uPVC pipelines, breaking into and construction of flange adaptors for pipe end connections at the exit and re-entry chambers and re-instatement to pre-intervention state surface finishing or top soiling, leveling and debris removal. Re-statement of cleared fences, stormwater infrastructure, plants, paving, block retaining walls, etc. The aboveground sewer pipe section of the Diepsloot sewage outfall pipeline is situated near the Northern WWTW -25.946300124793225, 27.99429705156444
