Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Head Office Building

Construction of the 80 000m² building, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Head Office will be situated on the corner of Soutpansberg Road and Tom Jenkins Drive in Rietondale Pretoria, Gauteng. The site is a portion of portion 25 (Remaining extent) of the farm Rietfontein 321JR, but does not cover the entire portion 25. The plan is to set up a head office for the Department of Foreign Affairs. This will include: Office accommodation for the Departments full head office; training facilities; conference facilities and a guest house. There will also be refurbishment of an existing guest house. Value: R1.32 billion. The Imbumba-Aganang Consortium is responsible for the design and construction over a two year period including management and operation of the building over a 25 year concession period.
