About this development
Phase 1 of the Dar es Salaam Maritime Gateway Program includes: strengthening and deepening of berths 1-7; construction of a new berth and Ro-Ro terminal at Gerezani; construction of a new oil jetty and pipeline, together with increased storage; undertaking of the entrance channel and port basin deepening and widening; increasing the capacity of the grain silo, installation of a conveyor system and high speed bulk grab; and updating of the business case for berths 13 -14 at the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The project is implemented in two phases and has a total budget of US$585 million.
