About this development
The proposed project area is located in Ethiopia's North-Eastern desert area of Danakil Depression, covering 160km², about 100km from the Eritrean Red Sea coast and 600km by road from the port of Djibouti. The area has potential for solution mining and open-pit mining, with production for potassium chloride and potassium sulphate feasible. Allana Potash plans to spend around C$22 million on exploration on the project over the next two years.
