About this development
Expansion construction of the CPT2 data and back-up energy centre on 49 Bommelhoek Road, Erf 52 (A Portion of subdivided Erf 39) Atlantic Hills, Cape Town, Western Cape. The new 20MW facility will cover 15 000m² and will comprise of 8 data halls. The proposed infrastructure comprises a data storage centre with a back-up power centre which contains the following: Eight generators (6 x 2500kW and 2 x 2000kW) producing a combined 19000kW energy output (20MW) and an above-ground diesel storage tanks (3 x 56000 litre bulk storage tanks and 8 x 1000 litre day tanks) with a combined capacity of 176000 litres (176m³) and appropriate bunding.
