About this development
Construction of the Cosmopolitan Shopping Centre on the 17000m² remaining extent of subdivision No. 9 of Farm No. 397, Makeni in Lusaka. Another 10 167m² has been leased from the council for the development of a Police / Fire Station. This gives a total area of 28,000m² approximately. The site is located in Makeni about 7 km from the Lusaka CBD at the Junction of Kafue and Chawama roads. The project will comprise the construction of a shopping centre, 948 parking bays, a police post and a fire station. Also included is the construction of internal roads and bulk services, construction of new sewer system, fencing of the site and improvements to the road reserves including improvements to drainage. Water supply will be from onsite boreholes. There is presently no water or sewer mains in the area. Estimated project value : US$50 million.
