About this development
Construction of services and infrastructure for the residential component of the Cornubia North Development. The residential component will comprise of different densities, typologies and income brackets. A total of 30 545 housing units are planned, of which 10 200 units will be Breaking New Ground (BNG) houses. Cornubia North is a natural extension to the existing Cornubia development to the south. Cornubia North is a large landholding with a total area of 763 hectares, of which 624 hectares will be developed. The site is situated west of the N2 and south of the M27 Freeway in eThekwini Municipality, in KwaZulu-Natal. To the south the proposed area is bounded by the Ohlanga River and the Cornubia Integrated Human Settlement (a National Priority Project), to the West by Waterloo, to the North by Mount Moreland and to East by Sibaya.
