About this development
This project involves the construction of the uranium plant and other infrastructure for Rand Uranium. The proposed project has three separate components which will be implemented in phases. Permits 1 and 2 will be covered by PPA 7070. Permits 3 & 3A (PPA 4178) : Millsite interim disposal scheme (two phases): The existing Millsite tailings dams and Pits will be re-commissioned as TSFs for storage of Dump 20 tails and re-processed Cooke Dump tailings. The uranium plant will cost R3,5 billion.
