About this development
The project site is the Portion 4 the Farm Cleef 678 IN (460.36 ha in extent), located in the Naledi Local Municipality, Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality, North West Province. The alternative sites are the Remainder of the Farm Cleef 678 IN (691.05 ha in extent) west and adjacent to project site and Portion 1 the Farm Cleef 678 IN (513.92 ha in extent) north and adjacent to the project site. The Cleef Solar Park will deliver the electrical energy to the planned Eskom Bophirima substation via a 132kV circuit to be built on the same structures (steel monopoles) of the Carocraft Power Line, The chosen site is suitable for the installation of a photovoltaic (PV) power plant. It is appropriate morphologically (flat terrain) and regarding the favourable radiation conditions. The available radiation allows a high rate of electric energy production and climatic conditions.
