About this development
Proposed upgrade of CJ Langenhoven Road Corridor, Phase 2 and Phase 3, George, in the Western Cape. The upgrade will include the provision of non-motorized vehicle and pedestrian paths. Phase 2 involves the upgrade of CJ Langenhoven Road from the existing traffic circle at George Hospital to Myrtle Road occupying an area of approximately 7200sqm. It entails the following: Widening of CJ Langenhoven Road to have two lanes per direction; Construction of an additional leg to the existing traffic circle at George Hospital. The proposed additional leg will pass through the premises of George Sports Club; Construction of a traffic circle as a link to the aforementioned additional leg; Closure of the existing access road and provision of a new access road to the George Sports Club and Die Bult Youth Centre; Construction of a traffic circle at the intersection of CJ Langenhoven Road and Myrtle Road; and Closure of the existing access road off CJ Langenhoven Road to Outeniqua Park Stadium and substitution thereof with a left out only lane onto CJ Langenhoven Road.
