Dangote plans to build a new cement plant at Keita, around 600 km (375 miles) northeast of the capital, Niamey in Niger, North Africa, as part of a continent-wide drive to boost cement output. The plant would produce its own electricity with an anticipated surplus to be used to bolster Niger's currently unreliable power output. Estimated project value : US$421.35 million.
