CCBSA Line 9 Project - Building Works

Construction works associated with the new Line 9 installation within the existing warehouse at the Coca-Cola Beverages Pretoria Plant located at 1237 Market Street, Booysens, Pretoria, Gauteng. This part of the project will be split into 8 distinct sections each with their own start and completion dates. These sections can be defined as follows: Production hall, mezzanine offices, engineering stores, external services, off-loading canopy, raw materials store, syrup room and the entrance guardhouse. The production hall construction will include the demolition of a double storey office and demolition of the existing floor bulk excavations for the box cut; layerworks, stainless steel effluent drainage, stormwater drainage, concrete hardstand cast to falls, epoxy coating on concrete upstand walls and shopfronts, new ceiling, enclosing of services gantry, new HVAC systems, sprinklers and other fire protection and mezzanine platforms. The mezzanine office construction will include structural steel supports, shopfront and dry wall walls, ceiling structure, services including lights, sprinklers and HVAC, floor and wall finishes, new staircase and modifications to existing structure. The engineering store construction will consist of demolitions, concrete bases, pre-cast mezzanine floor, steel columns and superstructure, chromadeck cladding with insulation and all required flashings, sprinkler protection, smoke detection, smoke extraction, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, steel box gutters and tie into existing stores. The off-loading canopy construction will consist of demolitions, concrete bases, steel columns and superstructure, chromadeck cladding with insulation and all required flashings, sound insulation, sprinkler protection, smoke detection, mechanical extraction, smoke extraction, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, steel box gutters and fast doors. The raw materials store construction will consist of steel support structure, insulated panel installation, fast door installation, cross over walkway installation, mechanical ventilation and extraction. The syrup room construction will consist of cavity brick wall including plaster and paint, demolitions of existing walls, concrete floor redo and epoxy. The guardhouse construction will consist of demolitions of existing guardhouse, foundations and brick wall buildings, façade and sheeting externally and roof sheeting and steel roof structure, finishes to internal and external of building, new access turnstiles and booms, fencing and signage.
