About this development
Development of the Drivers' Mess at the Cape Town Station in the Western Cape. The central site, adjacent to Cape Town Station, offered an existing raised platform above an existing road, with 360 degree views of the cityscape and Table Mountain. The design proposal physically links Drivers Mess to Cape Town Station and opens up onto the main concourse. Drivers Mess provides facilities for train and bus drivers including administrative offices, boardrooms, ablution facilities and locker rooms, canteen and break areas.
