Cape Town Stadium Redevelopment

Redevelopment of the Cape Town Stadium, corner of Fritz Sonneberg & Granger Roads, Green Point, Cape Town, Western Cape. The scope of works will include: Level 1: Extension of the two existing air conditioning and ventilation plant rooms at West wing and the installation of a new air conditioning plant. Level 4: Converting the existing business lounge, located on the West side, into three smaller business lounges. Removing the existing bamboo flooring situated within the business lounge and replacing it with new vinyl flooring. Constructing two new wet rooms and cleaning equipment stores and the installation of new access control to the business lounges. Level 5: Construction of forty-two (42) new field viewing suites around the stadium, four (4) new ablution facilities and some alterations to existing ablution facilities to accommodate the numbers. Converting five (5) existing open spaces to new hospitality lounge areas with bar facilities, East and West. Construction of two (2) refuse holding areas and two (2) medical rooms, East and West and two (2) new refuse holding areas, North and South. Level 6: Construction of thirty-six (36) new field viewing suites, East and West with four (4) new public ablution facilities. Construction of a 144 seat Anchor tenant lounge (VIP) with 2 assigned ablution areas with showers, allocated on the West. The construction of a “WAG” lounge with 2 assigned ablution areas, West. Construction of ten (10) new Scenic view suites and four (4) “Pod” suites. Construction of four (4) warm-up kitchens, four (4) refuse holding areas, four (4) wet rooms and four (4) medical Rooms. Construction of two (2) new fire mens lifts from level 6 to level 7 (one West and one East side). Converting two (2) existing store rooms to new kiosks, located on the North and South. Level 7: Construction of thirty-two (32) new field viewing suites, sixteen (16) new scenic view suites. Construction of eight (8) new ablution facilities, two (2) new disabled toilets, two (2) warm-up kitchens, two (2) refuse holding areas, two (2) wet rooms, and two (2) medical Rooms. Extension of access stairs to level eight L08. Construction of new lifts to level L08, West & East. Construction of new ventilation, plumbing, electrical and electronic service shafts. Construction of new 8th-floor slab over. Level 8: Construction of twenty-two (22) new field viewing suites, four (4) new Hospitality areas with Bar facilities and eight (8) new suite ablution facilities. Construction of two (2) new disabled toilets, two (2) warm-up kitchens, two (2) refuse holding areas, two (2) wet rooms, and two (2) medical Rooms. Construction of new lifts from level L07 to L08. Construction of new ventilation, plumbing, electrical and electronic service shafts Construction of new structural light weight steel roof over. Construction of new cat ladder to roof access with roof walkways. Awarded Contract Value: R250 687 500.00
