About this development
Construction of phase one of the Cape Town Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The project will consist of four phases, and is expected to be completed by 2020. The trunk routes of the first phase will see buses traveling between the city centre and the airport, and from the V&A Waterfront to Du Noon. Feeder systems using smaller buses will transport commuters to and from the main routes, from places such as Hout Bay and Camps Bay, in Cape Town, in the Western Cape. The total project cost for all four phases is expected to be R10 billion.
