Cape Cross Salt Project, Namibia

Gecko Salt wishes to develop a new salt production facility at the Cape Cross salt pan in Namibia. The Cape Cross Salt is located at Cape Cross, approximately 45km north of Henties Bay and 160km from Walvis Bay in Namibia. The project will comprise the following components: The mining of natural rock salt and the establishment of salt crystallization pans for salt production by solar evaporation. Salt production of up to 1.2 million tons per annum; crushing and washing of raw salt; bagging and loading of salt, infrastructure development (water and power transmission and own power generation); offices and houses to accommodate a portion (20) of the staff on site.
