The Brakfontein Merensky Project for Anglo Platinum. The Brakfontein Mine is developed with 3 declines (Chairlift, Conveyor and Man & Material) at an optimal capacity of 120ktpm MR, replacing unproductive output from Vertical and UM2 Inclined Shafts. The ore will be fed to the existing MR concentrator (up rated from 85 to 100 ktpm), with2-ktpm co-processed through the existing UG2 concentrator (65ktpm). Project value: R1,103 billion.
