Construction of the Bonyunyu Dam in Nyamira, Kenya. Bonyunyu dam will have a maximum height of 18.4m located at an altitude of 1 860m in the upstream part of the Gucha river that is discharging into Lake Victoria, a reservoir with a maximum length of about 3.5 km and a width varying from a few hundred to 500 meters, a water treatment plant, relatively small water reservoirs made of reinforced concrete will be established as well as a distribution network of pipelines.
