About this development
Construction of a new lodge with 40 beds at Blue Ridge Guest Farm, to be developed in the south-western quadrant on the western boundary of the estate located on Portion 7 of Roy Point Farm No 2959-Hs, on the N11 Ladysmith Road, about 2kms out of Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal. . The lodge is to be ‘rustic’, buildings and rooms will be spread over the site to create a ‘bush’ feel. The new lodge buildings are to have a fair amount of wood and natural stone features with a lot of glass to bring light and the outside natural environment into the building, complimented with terraces and wooden decks where appropriate. Artificial roof sheet imitating thatch is recommended. The property extent is 89.62ha, and the existing development area is approximately 7.8ha.
