About this development
Upgrading to bitumious standard of approximately 98km of Blue Lagoon Road, D534 from farmers turnoff on Mumbwa M9 Road to Muchabi Secondary and Muchabi Primary schools, 7km into the Blue Lagoon National Park in Central Province of Zambia. The scope of works includes but is not limited to the following: Upgrading of 98km of road to bituminous standard, clearing, grubbing and earthworks, pavement layers of gravel lower subbase, cement stabilized gravel upper subbase and cement stabilized gravel base with double seal surface dressing. Construction of Lundashi Bridge at 28,830km which consists of two-spans of approximately 15m each. Construction of Muchabi Bridge at 97.560km which consists of a single span of approximately 20m. Construction of box and pipe culverts, construction of concrete drains, mitre drains and stone pitching and other erosion protection features. Installation of street solar lights. Road finishing and landscaping, road signs and markings, protection and implementation of environmental and social management, health and safety plans.
