About this development
The project involves the reconstruction of the existing 60km long road that connects the southern commercial hub of Blantyre with the old capital city of Zomba. The road currently traverses the three districts of Blantyre, Chiradzulu and Zomba. The project will include chip seal surface dressing, construction of the road base and subbase in crushed stone, construction of the subbase in gravel and construction of the embankments and reinforced concrete box culverts. Estimated project value US$37 million .
