About this development
The Bisie Tin project is located in the Walikale District of the North Kivu Province of the DRC. It is located approximately 180 km northwest of Goma, the capital of North Kivu in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and approximately 60km northwest of Walikale. Alphamin Bisie Mining SA (ABM), has legal title (95% ownership, the remainder with the government of the DRC) over five exploration permits (No’s: PR 5270; PR 10346; PR 5266; PR 5267; and PR 4246) and an exploitation permit (PE 13155) in total covering approximately 1 270km² in the North Kivu Province of the DRC. It is planned to be an underground operation with a gravity separation plant that will process the cassiterite material extracted into a tin concentrate. Initial capita expenditure is estimated at $119.2 million to support the construction of an access road, an underground mine, a process plant, a tailings dam and associated facilities.
