About this development
Development of a Biomass to Energy Plant which will utilize a steam cycle process to generate electricity on erven 22496,22496 & 22498, Tamsui Industria, George. In this process, the wood biomass is burned in a boiler to produce steam which turns a turbine connected to a generator that produces electricity. This project focuses on the use of renewable biomass fuels (e.g. wood biomass – wood chips, sawdust, bark) to generate electricity. The wood waste (bark, chips and sawdust) will originate from the PG Bison saw mill as well as local wood processors from within the George Municipal area, in the Western Cape.
