About this development
The IDC and the Central Energy Fund (CEF) are looking to develop three biofuel projects in Cradock, Hoedspruit and Makhathini. The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and its partners were looking to invest R3.2 billion in biofuels projects, with first production set for 2014. One of the projects will be near Hoedspruit in Limpopo. The Limpopo venture is to make 150 million litres of fuel from maize.
