About this development
Construction of a wind farm with a contracted capacity of up to 94MW which will include wind turbines and associated infrastructure including turbine foundations and turbine hardstands; main and internal access roads; temporary laydown areas; a Battery Energy System (BESS); cabling between the turbines; temporary concrete batching plant; and operation and maintenance buildings. The project site is located adjacent to the town of Gouda and approximately 6km south of the town Saron, Drakenstein Municipality in the Western Cape. The site can be accessed from the R44. The following properties are considered as the project site: 3/88 – Hartebeeste Kraal 88 Portion 3; 7/88 – Hartebeeste Kraal 88 Portion 7; 4/83 – Bonne Esperance 83 Portion 4; 1/88 – Hartebeeste Kraal 88 Portion 1; 1/397 – Farm 397 Portion 1; 2/397 – Farm 397 Portion 2. The Marker has been placed on Hartebees Kraal 88: 33°15'41.6"S 18°58'28.3"E.
