About this development
Co-operative's jointly owned project company has now been officially registered as Pulp United (Pty) Limited. It will research the viability of constructing a eucalyptus-based bleached, chemical, thermal mechanical pulp mill (BCTMP) with a capacity of 300 000 tonnes at Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The mill will be the first of its kind to produce BCTMP from eucalyptus in South Africa. Value: R2 billion.
