Balfour Park Shopping Centre, situated on the corner of Athol and Johannesburg Roads in Highlands North, Gauteng, is set to undergo an upgrade and refurbishment. Currently, the double-tiered regional centre offers a GLA of 36,362m², and with over 100 stores offering a range of merchandise and services available. A major focus of the development will take place in the banking sector, with the banks expanding and implementing their new designs. The upgrade will see attention being focused on the internal aesthetics, namely the tiling, lighting, ceilings and the ablution facilities as well as the exterior feel and security of the centre as a whole. Estimated project value : R120 million.
