About this development
The project will see the conversion of the Azito natural gas-fired, open-cycle power plant into a combined, cycle operation. The conversion involves the addition of two heat recovery system generators and a 139MW steam turbine to the two existing two 144MW simple-cycle natural gas-fired turbines. The project will be developed, designed, constructed and operated under a 20 year build-own-operate transfer agreement. Estimated project value: $412 million.
