About this development
Construction of Atlantic Views, which will consist of 550 residential apartments, which will be divided into different villages inside the main development, (each with separate access control). The apartment will feature the following: Solar central heating system; LED lighting will be supported by solar panels; This will be an ECO development taking more than 50% off the electrical usage; Rain water will be stored in submerged tanks and used for irrigation; Sewer will be separated into two parts (grey and blackwater); Grey water will be recycled and added to rainwater to use for irrigation; Induction heating stoves will be introduced to this project using only 30% of conventional stove electricity. This will form part of the Atlantic Hills Precinct, which will eventually consist of 1 400 medium to high density residential units. The devleopment is situated at the N7 and M12 (Potsdam) interchange, in the Western Cape. The development is conceptualised as a self-sustainable and commercially managed environmentally friendly regional mixed use node. Approximately 83 hectares are available for development and will include: Regional Shopping Node (± 82 000 m² GLA); Mixed use Commercial and Service activities along the M12 arterial; 1 400 medium to high density residential opportunities; Industrial and Commercial Precincts; Parks and recreational facilities The Precinct will exhibit excellent transport linkages to regional consumer markets such as Parklands and will ultimately be integrated into the City of Cape Town's IRT (Rapid Transport System). Significant bulk infrastructure has already been completed to serve the precinct with the remainder to be installed in a phased basis in line with development demand. The first phase, which includes the Regional Shopping Centre.
