About this development
Construction of recreational facilities and parks for the Atlantic Hills Precinct, which is situated at the N7 and M12 (Potsdam) interchange, in the Western Cape. The development is conceptualised as a self-sustainable and commercially managed environmentally friendly regional mixed use node. Approximately 83 hectares are available for development and will include: Regional Shopping Node (± 82 000 m² GLA); Mixed use Commercial and Service activities along the M12 arterial; 1 400 medium to high density residential opportunities; Industrial and Commercial Precincts; Parks and recreational facilities The Precinct will exhibit excellent transport linkages to regional consumer markets such as Parklands and will ultimately be integrated into the City of Cape Town's IRT (Rapid Transport System). Significant bulk infrastructure has already been completed to serve the precinct with the remainder to be installed in a phased basis in line with development demand. The first phase, which includes the Regional Shopping Centre is scheduled for commencement in the 2nd half of 2012.
