About this development
Construction of the Arua Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Uganda. The project will include: (a) Construction of expansion works for the water treatment plant to capacity of 16,000 m3/day; (b) Supply, laying, testing and commissioning of 6,000 m water pumping mains of DN 250 to DN 500 ductile iron (DI); and 78,000 m of distribution mains of OD 110 to OD 315 uPVC; (c) Siting, drilling and installation of at least seven (7) production boreholes, each to an approximate depth of 130 m; (d) Construction of two (2) elevated galvanized steel storage tanks, each of 1,757 m3 nominal capacity; (e) Supply and installation of 24,000 m of main sewers of 200 mm ND and 250 mm ND uPVC; (f) Construction of three sewage pumping stations; and (g) Construction of sewage treatment ponds at Onduparaka and at Prisons Farm. Estimated project value : KShs 66 billion.
