Aries Solar Project

Development of the Aries Photovoltaic (PV) Plant and all associated infrastructure in the Northern Cape. The plant and associated infrastructure will be made up of PV panel arrays, wiring to central inverters, connection to the grid and a balance of the plant, including control rooms and regulators. The main civil works will include terrain levelling; access and inside roads/paths (already existing roads will be used where possible); and trenching. The project will also include a control facility with services such as water and electricity, in a building covering an area not greater than 100m². The facility will include voltage and current regulators, protection circuitry and structures such as a control room and housing, as transformers may also be required. Around 450 m3/y of water will be required to wash the panels.
