The project entails the southern down dip extension of the Central Rand Goldfields in the Gauteng Province. Its focus is the possible exploitation of the potential resource striking 30km from East Rand Proprietary Mines in the east to Durban Roodepoort Deep Mine in the west and extending from 2 800m to 5 000m below surface. To be known as Argonaut Project. Estimated project value: R8 billion.
