About this development
Arandis Power wish to construct a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant located 10km northeast of Arandis in the Erongo region, about 60km east of Swakopmund in Namibia. The solar power plant will be constructed in a phased approach up to 54MWp and will require up to 142 hectares of land. The proposed site was originally planned for the implementation of a coal-fired power generation facility, for which a full Environmental and Socio-Economic Impact Assessment (ESEIA) was completed in 2012.
